The Vac Pac Fish

The vac pac fish is a design collaboration

with furniture designer Tristan Cochrane.
We have taken soft fresh perishable sardines and

through the process of lost wax casting,

have transformed them into tough durable aluminium.
Taking as a starting point an early morning trip to the fish market, a series of plaster molds are produced of many sardines and from these molds can be produced many more wax copy fish.
